The Institute for Nano and Microelectronic Systems (INES) cooperates closely with Institut für Mikroelektronik Stuttgart (IMS CHIPS). The Institute for Nano and Microelectronic Systems (INES) focuses on analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit technology in CMOS and CMOS-compatible technologies, such as ASICs, GaN HEMTs for power, high-frequency and specialized applications, flexible electronics, silicon photonics and large-area MEMS.
There are numerous Bachelor, Masters and PhD theses supervised in these lines of research.
There are modern design and simulation tools (Cadence, Silvaco, Ansys) available for microelectronics and micro system technology. There is also access to a test environment (Agilent) that is able to analyze and characterize the designed circuits.
